There's nowhere quite like it..!
We all want to know what "real people" think about places to eat, stay and enjoy our leisure time: what better recommendation - or condemnation! The relatively new TripAdvisor® website enables this unbiased exchange of views and, like many other restaurants with (or without) rooms, we are grateful for the positive reviews we receive, most recently:
After reading the great reviews from trip advisor we decided to eat at The Nurse's Cottage during our short break in the New Forest and we were certainly not disappointed! The owner and host, Tony Barnfield, a former Radio 1 DJ, provided fantastic customer service with impeccible food all sourced locally from within the New Forest.
We couldn't help but read and admire the many regional and national awards The Nurse's Cottage had won for its menu, wine list, customer service and contribution to the community through its unique programme involving local young people.
The menu has dishes to suit all tastes - including game and more traditional options - and is certainly very reasonably priced bearing in mind that we are both students who are often on a budget - there is even unlimited complimentary mineral water! There is no compromise made on quality and we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening complete with complimentary tea and chocolates at the end! We shall definitely go back next time we are in the area and recommend this restaurant to all our family and friends. Many thanks to Tony and team for a very enjoyable evening!

And our accommodation has been assessed under the National Accessible Scheme. Quie extraordinarily, The Nurse's Cottage Restaurant with Rooms is the only serviced accommodation business in South-East England to have achieved success in all three standards - Mobility (M1), Hearing Impairment (H1) and Visual Impairment (V1).
We look forward to welcoming you to Sway and The New Forest National Park in the not too distant future, whether to stay or to enjoy a meal with us.
