Cottage Centenary 1909 - 2009

This year marks the centenary of a building where caring for people has been at its heart for most of its existence. Originally built (it is believed) for a chauffeur, The Nurse’s Cottage was for some 70 years (1913-83) home to the village’s District Nurse of the day. Now an award-winning restaurant with rooms, each bedroom is named after the five nurses who lived here.
